So, again, utter dismay, frustration and wonderment. WTF are these people doing? This is a slap in the face to all of us by Republicans. This is them taking something that had already been, doing it again, and basically telling the American people "who cares what you think you want or need? You are wrong, and you are too dumb to understand you need God to be affirmed by the GOVERNMENT again which goes against the 1ST AMENDMENT AGAIN!!!"
When are the hard headed amongst you going to wake up before it is too late. We can't have a program like FAST where we would rebuild every school in this nation or at least re-out fit these schools in the newest technology for kids. This would create millions of working class jobs and have a lasting affect on this nation... like maybe finally doing away with idiots who believe in Creation over Evolution, or we might have a chance at catching up to the rest of the world in math and science again. This would also be HELPING THE FUTURE GENERATIONS IN AN UNDENIABLE WAY and this is what everyone keeps screaming about.
Maybe we continue to vote Republican until all of our kids are in one room school houses with dirt floors and small cyphering boards again being taught by the "smartest" and most righteous girl or "Marm" in town we can find who has an 8th grade education at least. A word on the British Riots
I find it funny all the talking heads that keep trying to blame these riots on the youth, and ethnic diversity in the nation of the UK. However, I found an article today that disputes that ideal.
After writing on and on about how the youth and the ethnicity are causing problems for the UK, they actually talked to a few people who have been in on the TWEETS etc... What was the underlying cause in their eyes:
CLASS WAR. The $80billion Euros taken out of the Health care and Welfare systems so the banks and the ultra rich could be propped up again. In other words, these are not just aimless youths with no place to go or anything to do. These are people who saw money taken out of their society and given to people who already had more money than brains to bail them out when their bank gambles blew up in their faces. So, it is off the back of the poor they get to keep their stuff, then dictate to everyone else how they need to make cuts in spending because it is best for the nation. Not pay into the system that allowed you to become so filthy rich... No way, why do that? Hoard it all so only you and your kids get it in the end. One day we will all be living as dirt farmers on some rich Lord's lands, and we will be happy when he is nice enough to come through once a month and rape our women and give us a bit of Mutton to eat. Maybe then being an Engineer who can build a Trebuchet will be of use so we can launch dead animals into the lord's compound until we get to eat again. If you take from me to pay the rich man who was stupid enough to gamble his riches away, then like a dog who needs to eat, or fears your presence... I am GOING TO BITE YOU!!!

Interesting Conversation
Here is a recent political chat had between a friend and myself. His statements are in bold blue. My answers "normal". I like these types of debates.
Answering to my post about Eisenhower and the 90% tax rate being good for America:
"Statics do not show that growth. 2.9% unemployment when he was elected. When he left, it was 4.2%. That is job growth? At the peak of his presidency, he had a 1.6% job growth. How is that job growth?"
Yes, and we would be very happy with a 4.2% unemployment rate at anytime in the last 3-5 years wouldn’t we? When he started in office we were still building munitions for Korea, and a significant part of our work force was locked in combat on that peninsula, correlation of history Dave, the two went hand in hand. I see you using the word growth, but putting a small number. This is another issue with the American people. We have come to expect instant gratification. You can’t use a word like growth, and then ask where it is. It was growth either way whether 1/4% or 200% it is growth. Unlike the average workers rate of pay in the last 10 years where we have lost $1500 on average as well as the buying power our dollar used to carry, but the CEO has gained 430%. Now if you post there was job loss to the tune of 250,000 a month then he would have been a failure. Unfortunately for modern Republicans he presided over one of the greatest economic times in this country’s history, and you should be proud of that since he was a Republican, even though he was not a Trickle Down Republican.. Thus the reason those days are so fondly remembered by all of our parents and grandparents. 1 job per household, and you lived like Wally and the Beaver, or at least could afford to live. We produced our own TV’s (Curtis Mathis anyone, Crosley Radios anyone else?) and they were the best on the planet. We made everything. Those jobs are gone forever due to corporate greed, and consumer fickleness.

You are right, Bush never blamed Clinton. They blamed him for 9/11 during his whole Presidency which is mind boggling. Cheney and Rove almost had Clinton training the terrorists to fly the planes, and then piloting them all the way to the river, then jumping out and parachuting to safety in his Harlem office secret roof hatch.
Clinton did it to the first Bush, the first Bush did it to “God”… I mean Reagan, Reagan did it to Carter… do we need to go any further? My hand is tired of typing these names. Even at a 50% rate on the rich, it is still not bulk. It is half, and honestly, if I made $2million a year, I could survive on one of them comfortably. So, my fundamental question remains: if taxes have not gone up in the last 10 years, but in fact have gone down and stayed down then: WHERE ARE THE JOBS? If TDE works, then we should be basking in the glory of the rich peeing all over us for being able to keep more of their money than at any time in the last century. PERIOD! Again, they are not taking from one to give to another. Corporate welfare is 1000 times what personal welfare is. Again PERIOD!!! They are taking from people and giving back to corporations, those are your “drunks down the street”. They are drunk off your money. That is the way it is. The Marx philosophy was never tried, no matter how hard you try to call Socialism Communism it is like saying a Democracy is a Representative Republic. No, they are not the same. Socialism is living for the society, Communism is living for the state and the military the state supports. I work with at least 5 former eastern bloc residents who will tell you this difference, and agree I hit the nail on the head.

I have busted same ass. I worked full time through school with a stay home mom and 2 sick kids in tow. I used Grants, loans (I have paid back), and medical coverage for my children who needed $1million in surgeries before they were 5. Now I make way too much for any help, and now would be when I need a single payer system that was killed by Republicans to protect the insurance lobby. We all took chances, I did too, and won. Not everyone is playing on or from the same field though. You are not parsing out your tax dollars. I write a check to the government every year, and I am not crazy enough to think that I personally pay for the “drunk down the street”. In fact, if I was smart enough to do simple math, I would know that in reality my tax dollars go mostly to corporations, than to social programs. Actually about 1000 times OUR tax dollars go to corporations than personal welfare. So, I may be giving the “drunk down the street” about a quarter of a cent per year. However, I am paying huge corporations (Archer Daniels Midland) and farmers not to grow food, I am subsidizing the oil industry (Exxon, BP etc…), the military contracts industry (Rockwell, Lockheed, HALIBURTON) the drug companies (Pfizer, Squibb, Bristol Meyers), Wall Street and pretty much any other corporate entity. You lived this when you watched GM leave Norwood owing millions in taxes and saying “who cares”. The schools immediately suffered, roads, police and fire all suffered because a corporation was given a great deal to keep jobs, instead they chose to send them to other states and eventually Mexico. So, I will ask this: Do you owe the corporation down the street who can self sustain and make billions in profits every quarter to keep the share holders happy, but refuse to cut you a deal on gas? Do you owe Wall Street Billions of dollars to make sure they don’t fail and can continue to rape the entire nation? Do you owe the top 1% who control 80-90% of all wealth and refuse to trickle these magic jobs down to any of us more breaks so they can get richer and build bigger bunkers and compounds for when the end of this nation come and chaos hits the streets in your town? If working hard to get where they are was the case, then maybe I would agree a bit on cutting a break that they are already getting by having the lowest tax rates in the HISTORY OF THE US. In most of these instances however, that is not the case, or at least in the Fortune 500 world (my former world of employment). One CEO puts a “friend” on the board of directors because he just purchased a 5% share of the company, then that “friend” turns around and puts that same CEO on his board of directors for purchasing 8% of the stock in his company… and so on and so on. No more cracking the good ole boys network for us, and they will play with your money like Monopoly money while protecting theirs at all costs. Grace then moved on to a media psychologist who asserted that Duckett was "skirting around the issue."

If Trenton is not found by his 13th birthday, or if he is found but is not alive, the funds will be transferred immediately to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. After the disbarment of District Attorney Mike Nifong, Attorney General Roy Cooper pronounced all three players innocent of the rape charges made by Mangum and Nifong. Political Suicide. Can I help?
I don't even need to give links...lol Unless asked today. Just a short rant about our current political duel.
First, Republicans must be stupid. They are committing political suicide by holding the Presidents feet to the no fire of cutting spending. 70% of the US population (including 60% of Republicans) believes we need to have comprehensive reforms that include tax increases on the ultra rich and cut spending. Not only cut spending. I am enjoying watching Cantor and Boehner kill themselves politically to protect the ultra rich...
We also have Bachman who knows nothing about History at all. I am really glad she doesn't work for any publishing house in the editing room for our school books.
Are we going to get to watch this party implode? It would be neat to see the party Lincoln started go down the toilet to ideals he never envisioned.

Where is the Trickle?
This is a subject I would like to cover. Trickle Down Economics.
"Trickle-down economics" and "the trickle-down theory" are pejorative terms that refer to the policy of providing across the board tax cuts or benefits to businesses, such as tax breaks, in the belief that this will indirectly benefit the broad population. The term has been attributed to humorist Will Rogers, who said during the Great Depression that "money was all appropriated for the top in hopes that it would trickle down to the needy.
Proponents of these policies claim that if the top income earners invest more into the business infrastructure and equity markets, it will in turn lead to more goods at lower prices, and create more jobs for middle and lower class individuals. In the last 30 years we have gone from CEO pay being roughly 40% more than that of the workers to 400% more, and guess what, the average just went up another 20% this year. Yet, I still feel no jobs trickling down on any of us. They just took 1500 jobs from Goldman-Sachs, and shipped them overseas too. So, complain about Obama. However, look in the mirror. All of you who are dumb enough to be led by the nose with a policy that has never worked and will never work are ridiculous. Get a load of you voting against your own interests. It is great. This country was great when the wealthy were forced to pay back the society that allowed them to live an ultra wealthy lifestyle. We had a sustainable middle class, and we could provide for one home with one job in that home. Since the days of Ike who had a 90% tax rate, the country has been on a steady spiral down hill. So, if you can complain about a couple of years of a President trying to help... then I reserve the right to ask: where are all the jobs we were promised if we kept the rich man rich, and allowed him to get richer? Should he not by now have figured out a way to trickle a few jobs down on his US brethren? Or is it better he ships your job overseas so he can collect more cash because they work for $.50 and hour? Did you know that in the US, there are now 20% of us who do not believe in a God or subscribe to a religion. Yes, 20% is a minority, but we are a bigger minority than Blacks, Gays, Jews, NRA members and several other groups of note that seem to be able to sway government and public opinion in their direction without question. We are now the silent mass.

Article 1 seems to be discussing the fact NBC cut out the "Under God" from a recent pledge of Allegiance on TV. Under God was not even how it was originally written or said. Yes that was added in 1954 folks, all because we didn’t want to be like the “Godless Commies”. If you will note some of the posters on this topic, they say everything from "liberal to Godless". Well, maybe NBC represents the only forward thinking people in this country. Question: what does Liberal have to do with being Godless? #2, what does being Godless have to do with anything? Maybe there is a significant group of us out there who do not believe, and do not want your ideals crammed down our throats anymore. Maybe we have finally spoken up to the subject, and want freedom from the constant hounding of religious speech, symbolism and doctrine in this nation as we were promised by the Constitution. I don’t care if you call it Christmas or a Christmas sale, in fact I do too… but I do not observe the specific religious meanings or stories behind the time of year, because I believe them to be faked. I take it as a time to reflect on those before me, those with me now, and the wonderful thing I have called life that my parents gave me and my family enjoys with me to this day. Not to beg forgiveness for things I do not understand, or to pay homage to a child that cannot be proven to have existed at all. It is a time to revel in the life that surrounds me, and those who came before me to get us all here.
I see and have read the 10 commandments.
Can we possibly review these 10 "Commandments" to see their relevance in today’s, or even society from 240 years ago?
They are stated in 2 Biblical books, and there are variables between the ones listed in Exodus, and the ones listed in Deuteronomy:
Exodus:
I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
1) Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Any of you who have ever seen a planetarium, pictures of space, or a Space Shuttle launch are all
going to hell… likewise you folks that are geologists, looked at the grand canyon, been in coal mines etc… how about you submariners, or those who study the oceans and sea life? It looks as though you may be just as doomed as your scientific brethren. Do I really want a jealous person in control of my life? How many of you dumped boy or girl friends for the same act?
3) Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
So far I see nothing that translates to a law, or in fact anything to do with morality or kindness we are all told exist in the "LOVE" of a God. This is a vain twit who is afraid of losing you and your love/ money/ support, and threatens you accordingly.
4) Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shoult thou labor and do all thy work but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work; thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it. Yeah, can't work a man to death, makes sense, but still not a law. Now you just have to pay him a little more money to do it.

5) Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Nope, still not a law.

9) Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. This happens everyday, not a law. unless you mean filing false charges, but talking bad without warrant or merit is a daily event.
10) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house; thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's. Well, all of you Capitalists are surely going straight to hell, because this is what our American system is built on. Coveting thy neighbor’s stuff...
On To Deuteronomy:
Basically the same garbage with a little more explanation from Moses about whence they came, fire in bush etc... And a few threats/ promises from God... Since most claim to be Christian, I will forego the opportunity to pick this book apart for now.

If so free, why do we WANT to be servant to an unseen jealous father figure who really has not been proven to have done anything for this nation in any way good or bad? Home of the brave? Doesn't this mean we are brave enough to NOT have to have an unseen entity holding our "mystical hand" in times of trouble or need? Why do we have continual claims that our country was based on Christian fundamentals and beliefs? In fact it was not. There are 3 or 4 statements in the article of Founding Fathers about how much we are a nation under God etc... However, I can post at least 1000 from the same Founders that state this nation is not Christian, and the freedom of religion is as needed as the freedom FROM religion. They left England because the country was tied straight to the COE, the King, and taxes etc went to both whether you believed or not. They wanted the Freedom to choose not to believe, or to believe the way they saw fit. Not to be told how to believe, or that they were wrong if they were nothing more than Deists. We were being taxed by England on and for everything, but had no representation in their British Parliamentary Government, thus the term "Taxation without Representation". We still saw ourselves as Englishmen, and wanted equal and fair treatment from the Government we helped sponsor. This was our main reason for revolting against Britain and that does not correlate to us being founded on religious mandates or Dogma. It speaks to us being the same Capitalists then that we are now. Only then, all we wanted was to have some sort of representation for what we paid, we did not want it for free, we did not want all taxes to stop, we did not wait for God to step in and save us. God was not a reason we revolted from England. It may have been a reason the Pilgrims came 150 years earlier, but not the reason for revolution.
No state sponsored religion shall exist. US Constitution First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." No litmus test for office about religion (US Constitution Article 6 paragraph 3). These mean, believe what you want, but don’t try to hold everyone else to the same standard. What exactly is so desirable about having a leader who believes the end of time in eminent? Logically, this would mean that person could care less about our needs as a society, or whether we do anything to better ourselves as a nation because God is on his way anyway to end all of this and get the Zombie Armies marching soon. I would much rather believe in a future that we control, or have a hand in than just throwing my hands up to the will of a being who has never made itself known or proven to have done anything for anyone.

and you would fully expect us to believe in your God? That is funny. We did not burn down Big Butter Jesus, God did. We do not claim we have a power and knowledge above anyone else, because we believe that is arrogant and ignorant. We are just humans. Like everyone else. So, the next time you think your religion is under attack by the atheist crowd, and we are trying to get you to stop believing and take God out of everything. Just think that there may be a few of us who just don’t want your God in everything. We want to be left alone. Remember: Religion is best taught in the home. Your home, not mine.
