The Lies Have to Stop

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/nov05election/detail?entry_id=81734

This insanity of not understanding from whence we came needs to stop. The Founding Fathers were in fact slave owners. PERIOD. Michelle Bachmann needs to look up a few references. Just once.

Jefferson had over 600 and over 80 at any one time at Monticello:
http://classroom.monticello.org/kids/resources/profile/263/Jefferson-and-Slavery/

By 1799 when George Washington died he owned 399 slaves. http://www.mountvernon.org/learn/meet_george/index.cfm/ss/101/

Madison owned many slaves, and did not give any of them up or emanciapte them even after his death:
http://home.nas.com/lopresti/ps4.htm

Shall we go on?

Of the first five presidents, four owned slaves.  All four of these
owned slaves while they were president.

Of the next five presidents (#6-10), four owned slaves.  Only two of them owned slaves while they were president.

Of the next five presidents (#11-15), two owned slaves. Both of these two owned slaves while they were president.

Of the next three presidents (#16-18) two owned slaves. Neither of them owned slaves while serving as president.
The last president to own slaves while in office was the twelfth president, Zachary Taylor (1849-1850).

This thought process is BS, and needs to stop.

OK, we are only 20%, but we are tired of this complaint.

Did you know that in the US, there are now 20% of us who do not believe in a God or subscribe to a religion. Yes, 20% is a minority, but we are a bigger minority than Blacks, Gays, Jews, NRA members and several other groups of note that seem to be able to sway government and public opinion in their direction without question. We are now the silent mass.
"Religious factions will go on imposing their will on others unless the decent people connected to them recognize that religion has no place in public policy. They must learn to make their views known without trying to make their views the only alternatives."
Barry Goldwater
Article 1 seems to be discussing the fact NBC cut out the "Under God" from a recent pledge of Allegiance on TV. Under God was not even how it was originally written or said. Yes that was added in 1954 folks, all because we didn’t want to be like the “Godless Commies”. If you will note some of the posters on this topic, they say everything from "liberal to Godless". Well, maybe NBC represents the only forward thinking people in this country. Question: what does Liberal have to do with being Godless? #2, what does being Godless have to do with anything? Maybe there is a significant group of us out there who do not believe, and do not want your ideals crammed down our throats anymore. Maybe we have finally spoken up to the subject, and want freedom from the constant hounding of religious speech, symbolism and doctrine in this nation as we were promised by the Constitution. I don’t care if you call it Christmas or a Christmas sale, in fact I do too… but I do not observe the specific religious meanings or stories behind the time of year, because I believe them to be faked. I take it as a time to reflect on those before me, those with me now, and the wonderful thing I have called life that my parents gave me and my family enjoys with me to this day. Not to beg forgiveness for things I do not understand, or to pay homage to a child that cannot be proven to have existed at all. It is a time to revel in the life that surrounds me, and those who came before me to get us all here.

I see and have read the 10 commandments.
Can we possibly review these 10 "Commandments" to see their relevance in today’s, or even society from 240 years ago?
They are stated in 2 Biblical books, and there are variables between the ones listed in Exodus, and the ones listed in Deuteronomy:
Exodus:
I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
1) Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Any of you who have ever seen a planetarium, pictures of space, or a Space Shuttle launch are all
going to hell… likewise you folks that are geologists, looked at the grand canyon, been in coal mines etc… how about you submariners, or those who study the oceans and sea life? It looks as though you may be just as doomed as your scientific brethren. Do I really want a jealous person in control of my life? How many of you dumped boy or girl friends for the same act?
3) Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
So far I see nothing that translates to a law, or in fact anything to do with morality or kindness we are all told exist in the "LOVE" of a God. This is a vain twit who is afraid of losing you and your love/ money/ support, and threatens you accordingly.
4)  Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shoult thou labor and do all thy work but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work; thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it. Yeah, can't work a man to death, makes sense, but still not a law. Now you just have to pay him a little more money to do it.
Every man needs a off day. This is common sense more than a law.
5) Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Nope, still not a law.
6) Thou shalt not kill. We are close to a law here, but not really. Kill what? Hunting? Fishing? or MURDERING MEN WOMEN AND CHILDREN? Which by the way, still happens in the great books these commandments come from. Hmmm.
7) Thou shalt not commit adultery. Yeah, OK. Not a law, and I dare you to find me the honest group.
8) Thou shalt not steal.  An actual undeniable law.
9) Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.  This happens everyday, not a law. unless you mean filing false charges, but talking bad without warrant or merit is a daily event.
10) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house; thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's. Well, all of you Capitalists are surely going straight to hell, because this is what our American system is built on. Coveting thy neighbor’s stuff...

On To Deuteronomy:
Basically the same garbage with a little more explanation from Moses about whence they came, fire in bush etc... And a few threats/ promises from God... Since most claim to be Christian, I will forego the opportunity to pick this book apart for now.

OK. First, isn't this the land of the free and home of the brave? If so free, why do we WANT to be servant to an unseen jealous father figure who really has not been proven to have done anything for this nation in any way good or bad? Home of the brave? Doesn't this mean we are brave enough to NOT have to have an unseen entity holding our "mystical hand" in times of trouble or need? Why do we have continual claims that our country was based on Christian fundamentals and beliefs? In fact it was not. There are 3 or 4 statements in the article of Founding Fathers about how much we are a nation under God etc... However, I can post at least 1000 from the same Founders that state this nation is not Christian, and the freedom of religion is as needed as the freedom FROM religion.  They left England because the country was tied straight to the COE, the King, and taxes etc went to both whether you believed or not. They wanted the Freedom to choose not to believe, or to believe the way they saw fit. Not to be told how to believe, or that they were wrong if they were nothing more than Deists. We were being taxed by England on and for everything, but had no representation in their British Parliamentary Government, thus the term "Taxation without Representation". We still saw ourselves as Englishmen, and wanted equal and fair treatment from the Government we helped sponsor. This was our main reason for revolting against Britain and that does not correlate to us being founded on religious mandates or Dogma. It speaks to us being the same Capitalists then that we are now. Only then, all we wanted was to have some sort of representation for what we paid, we did not want it for free, we did not want all taxes to stop, we did not wait for God to step in and save us. God was not a reason we revolted from England. It may have been a reason the Pilgrims came 150 years earlier, but not the reason for revolution.

No state sponsored religion shall exist. US Constitution First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." No litmus test for office about religion (US Constitution Article 6 paragraph 3). These mean, believe what you want, but don’t try to hold everyone else to the same standard. What exactly is so desirable about having a leader who believes the end of time in eminent? Logically, this would mean that person could care less about our needs as a society, or whether we do anything to better ourselves as a nation because God is on his way anyway to end all of this and get the Zombie Armies marching soon. I would much rather believe in a future that we control, or have a hand in than just throwing my hands up to the will of a being who has never made itself known or proven to have done anything for anyone.

To some of us we are getting tired of the constant speculation that religion is under attack. We have an alternate view: religion is less wanted or needed; therefore we are starting to buck back against religion and its intolerance of us. We are not attacking religion anymore than it attacks us. If religion can sponsor big Butter Jesus:

then we should be able to sponsor billboards without fear of them getting slashed or burnt. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2010/06/29/1531934/atheist-groups-billboard-vandalized.html

and you would fully expect us to believe in your God? That is funny. We did not burn down Big Butter Jesus, God did. We do not claim we have a power and knowledge above anyone else, because we believe that is arrogant and ignorant. We are just humans. Like everyone else. So, the next time you think your religion is under attack by the atheist crowd, and we are trying to get you to stop believing and take God out of everything. Just think that there may be a few of us who just don’t want your God in everything. We want to be left alone. Remember: Religion is best taught in the home. Your home, not mine. I  prefer Aesop's Fables.
they were truly religious men because of their faith in the orderliness of the universe.
A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death.
The further the spiritual evolution of mankind advances, the more certain it seems to me that the path to genuine religiosity does not lie through the fear of life, and the fear of death, and blind faith, but through striving after rational knowledge.
True religion is real living; living with all one's soul, with all one's goodness and righteousness.

This is how it all starts, more kids need to be taught this is fun.

http://finance.yahoo.com/career-work/article/112975/making-a-wiffle-ball-wsj?mwp_error=An+internal+error+has+occurred#mwpphu-post-form

Get out and play with your children. Show them the things you loved as a kid, and quickly the PS, Wii, XBOX, and all the other garbage gets put to the side. We all complain our kids sit in the house too much and do nothing but play on the little electric boxes. But how many times recently have you taken your child out with a $4 Wiffle ball and bat and played with them? Get up, get out. It is summer. No one is going to steal your child, no one is going to break anything but maybe an arm or leg... and that was a summer right of passage for the boys I grew up with. We need to "remascualte" this country, or we are doomed to be a lazy bunch of no body's who become China's third world country.

YOU AREN'T DRIVING A PHONE BOOTH

http://autos.yahoo.com/news/top-10-most-annoying-things-other-drivers-do.html

For those of you in my age group, you know and remember well what a phone booth was. For those of you who are to young. There were boxes all over town. They were about 8' tall, and had a pay phone, a small steel table connected to the phone, a set of phone books attached to the table on a cord, and it was a glass in closed case you could stand in to get privacy and talk on the pay phone.
1) Quit stopping traffic because of your call. I hate you, and it should be legal to shoot at you if you continue to recline like you are on the couch, and encroach into my lane over and over again while speeding up and slowing down at a stupid unpredictable pace. Your call can wait, they waited for the first 100 years after the invention of the telephone... They can still wait.
2) Fast driving I don't have an issue with. The kid in the souped up older BMW that pulled up next to me on the highway the other day with his fart pipe blaring and hat slanted to the side with wispy beard thing and chains... looked at me, stomped on the gas in the rain and promptly started doing uncontrollable donuts on the highway. You deserve to be strapped to the hood of a car while that happens. The Fast and the Furious is a movie kids. I saw Rambo when I was a kid. I did not want to buy a .30 cal machine gun and go on a rampage at the Vietnamese market. Get over your racing thing, you are killing people dummies.
3) Snow off your car I have never had trouble with, I have heard stories, but on my trek to work, I never exceed 35, so I am guilty of this. I have had the guy with mud all over his car or truck make life hard on me.... so I get it.
4) Turn signals. Are they so hard to use? They come as standard equipment in all vehicles. Whether your car is worth $100,00, or $500, you should signal so I know where you are going and don't get the urge to pull you from your car and remove a few of your teeth because you meander all over the road at varying speeds like the road is yours. Seen the newest Volvo commercial where the rest of us are out cleaning the streets for that ass to drive his car in the morning. I believe BMW, AUDI, and Mercedes owners all believe that commercial is a documentary.
5) High beams on. Aren't all you people with these new high quality beams basically shinning me with brights all the time now? How about Ford F250's get a little less lumen's on the spot lights they have as headlights?
6) Faulty equipment? Just keep your heap from stinking, or throwing parts on me and we are good to go.
7) 2 spaces in lot near me, and I park at the back of lot usually just to walk. I will spit on your car.
8) Far left lane? Pick up the speed clown. Not your job to lead the parade.
9) I do this every time, and it works. I am not perfect, even though my driving record is. When I do make a mistake, taking a lane etc... I wave, and or point at my head like I am crazy. People always look, laugh, and let it go.
10) Dangerous loads go without saying.

The rest, picking your nose. Who cares, put on a show man. I want to see what you get out that you are wiling to put in your mouth. Makes me feel like my life ain't so bad. Rubber neckers should be tazed. Period. You stop or slow for something on the other side of the road, you basically have a 6 to 8 lane accident going on. I and the rest of us hate you. You should have your license removed. Quit slamming on your brakes because of rain, are you flat stupid or what? Does the mirror really double for a makeup mirror? Why are you flipping me off because you took my lane, didn't signal, and then slammed on the brakes nearly causing a 5 car pile up? I was behind this the whole time, you chose to lead it.

When you get in your car everyday, THINK. It is not about you getting to and fro with no interruption. You are using a privilege for all of us. Don't take advantage, and think, I know this is hard in Cincinnati... COMMUNALLY and we all get where we need to safely and happy.

Gun Control

Another silly argument we as Americans find ourselves having. WTF are we allowing our government the power to do to us as a nation. Yes ladies and Gents, this is a liberal talking. Root word LIBERTY. Anyway, why do we allow heavy gun control and fairly heavy regulation in a country where the average citizen is no where near as well armed as his representative military? I am not talking about the loop holes that do exist like Gun Shows. I am talking about trying to buy a good weapon from a reputable dealer. It is ridiculous the paperwork etc, registration, locks, name it. Get out of my house.

Now I have heard the arguments against firearms in the US. Murder rates by handgun. Robberies by gun. Strong arm house entries by gun. Kids shot at home. Kids shooting friends. People shooting up schools, restaurants, work. The list does seem endless. The fact 9,300+ people have been killed in this country to date - http://www.nationmaster.com/red/country/us-united-states/cri-crime&all=1 - doesn't mean we are violent. Does being #4 on the list mean we need to regulate firearms more? Do we have a lack of patience because of our instant access, instant gratification society? Do we fight just because that is how our nation was built; fighters, in the streets, on the job, in the ring, at home and abroad? Do we kill each other because we are not educated for the most part, and consider ourselves cool to continue to keep the Caveman mentality? I think not, or not quite.

I think it is a combination of all of the above. We are, or at least were a rough breed of mutts for along time. The Toughest German, Irish, Italian, Scottish, British, Dutch, French, Ukrainian, Indian, African, Polish, Russian... it goes on forever... people came here to cut out a life for themselves and their families anyway they could. We are fighters folks. Whether we like it or not. We have at least a part of society that looks at the average person like a Lion with raw meat. You are to be taken from, you are a "mark", you are easy picking, you have no clue what it is like on the street. There are major differences between how life is viewed in this country and the value therein. Most people, with something to lose, do not want to hurt others so they are in favor of gun control for everyone because it might help their "pretty" society continue to progress, and stop people from murdering so much. Wrong. Other people just don't like a noisy bang thing, and they should all just go away. Wrong.

You also have the "cold dead hands" side. These people are just as much idiots as the other side. OK, get a concealed carry. I understand. Are you going to conceal a .50 caliber Sniper rifle in your holster? How about an AK-47? Maybe that sweet SKS you had your eye on at the gun show? OOOO, I know, carry that Oozie and the Tech and your shoulder fired Rocket Launcher on your back at the same time and you are pimpin... Wrong. There are a few things that if carried on the street should be a bit concerning...lol

However, I have a resolution to this issue. If you are not "crazy (which is relative), and you are of good health, and can pass a civics test, you are REQUIRED to carry a gun in this nation to support your fellow man. You will be taught to use it and well, you will be taught all of the needs of citizenship by protecting others. You will be on spot the next time there is a guy at school who has a gun, the history teacher would be able to lay him down. The kid behind the counter that actually graduated high school and is going to college unloads on the freak who pulls out an AK to rob the place. A set of grandmothers all throw down on a guy in the city at night because they had what it takes to stop their own mugging. The country would be a new place. Crime down, and people would behave again.

Rant Done!!!

Trickle Down is BS

http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thelookout/20110614/bs_yblog_thelookout/workers-share-of-national-income-plummets-to-record-low

Another article proving the old tried and true method of "trickle down" economics doesn't work at all. Why are Republicans/ Conservatives so interested in making the rich richer, when it is now shown in easy to read chart form that none of it gets rained back down on any of us? How is that good for America? Do you notice the timeline as far as Eisenhower when there was a 90% tax rate and we actually had a working sustainable middle class? I don't understand wanting to make the rich richer when it does absolutely nothing for the rest of us. They aren't even peeing the trickle down jobs on our heads anymore... much less giving us a fair shake for expecting more with less workers in the system. They call it productivity boost... the workers call it Golf Cleats on my back to get everything done while rich dude plays golf again today. Yes, I agree, he should get a Lion share for creating a business... but shouldn't those who actually make the business run get a cut too? I have met many a CEO, and worked closely with several in my past. Not once did they know how to do my job, or even understand what I did beside provide a service and learn what they wanted as fast as I possibly could. Did it get me more than 3% a year even with stellar reviews? NOPE!!! Excuses: "We are not in good fiscal shape to give out those type of raises", "we are afraid of the economy and this is shaky profit right now..." on and on BS plain and simple. However, CEO pay has increased by 430%. Can you say ridiculous? So how many millionaires do you know? I don't mean the old dude who stinks at the end of cube row, you know the guy, he checks his stocks all day to see how much he made or lost hoping for retirement soon, and he is now hovering around a million... No, I mean how many actual GET PAID A MILLION A YEAR people do you know? Do you really think they care about you? Are they investing on jobs for this nation? The numbers say no... Why were all of you against the tax increase on the rich, you blame Obama, but when the idea every economist says will work came out (INCREASING TAXES ON THE RICH), you guys cried like the government was taking food out of your children's mouths? That's right, you thought it would create jobs to let the rich get richer, but it hasn't in 2 decades, why would it start now?

I guess my last question to all you smart Conservatives who continue to vote against your own interests and families:
Who is prettier? Palin or Bachman.
Who is crazier? Palin or Bachman.

Will you ever start voting for YOUR OWN INTERESTS? EVER?

Thank you Mavs

http://www.nba.com/2011/news/06/12/nowitzki-finals-mvp.ap/index.html
Thank you Mavs for showing that being old school and playing with heart, guts, and passion you can still win in the league. I am so thrilled to see the Mavs as Champions. The "all about me" generation needs to wait another year at least. ENJOY THE WAIT!!!

Oil Companies are killing us.

http://www.exxonmobilperspectives.com/2011/04/28/exxonmobil-earnings-the-real-story-you-wont-hear-in-washington/
Unfortunately, we the people have been taken to the cleaners by this type of supply side antics for at least the last 40 years, and there is no end in sight. I really hope you read the above article, and the half-assed defense of that industry which lies therein. So, the industry is taking money from all over the world. Then blaming our weak dollar for the price increases and the fact we don't self sustain by digging in our own nation to find oil.

So, my company makes $10billion in PROFIT per quarter, and I am trying to tell you that I can't take a 10% tax on my profits or all those 12,000 plus workers must go. One word for Capitalism... Ludicrous. That amounts to $833,333 for each of those workers. When do we call BS on these people? A 10% tax increase on $40 billion for just one of the oil giants would produce roughly $4billion a year in revenue for all of us to enjoy. We would enjoy it in the form of better roads, more jobs in other industries, and a tax source we sorely need. Or a really novel idea, PAY DOWN THE DEBT!!! I have a few questions about this process we are supposed to believe in that has been laid out by this individual working for a giant who leaches from us all.

1) If a gas station buys 2 loads a week of gas. The gas is in the ground and paid for. Service paid for upon delivery. How can what is already in the ground increase or decrease in cost? The price was set by the amount you sold me the tanker delivery for, so that means every time the wind shifts every other day, then the prices would not change daily, but would keep exactly the same until the next shipment of gas shows up to my station. Then I charge the public by what I was charged for this last tanker fill up at my station.
2) WTF does speculation have to do with all this? Read any energy column written in the last 10 years and you will see and hear there is no way these people should have jobs. They set resource prices, costs, and buyers all on a whim.
3) Does anyone else smell the rotten justification coming from this article? How can this person justify these profits made off an unstable world economy? Is it a "get all you can get while the getting is good" policy?

I service the oil industry in a big way with my current job, and as much as we get profitable every time you pay more at the pump, I get tired of watching a group of ultra rich folks blame us for their inability to tell the truth and lay out a plan for the future of energy supply and demand. Nowhere do I see the writer talk about the need for new energy sources (not based on oil) or needs for the country to be self reliant and get off foreign oil. it is basically stated in a matter of fact way that this is the way things are and we should love big oil for being so nice to us as a nation and allowing us to use a resource that should be state owned and harvested so we all get a cut of the over all profits just like they do in ALASKA... How did they get those checks every year? Ms. Palin decided it was a good policy to make a natural resource a socialist endeavor...lol Classic. Take the 10% back, and subsidize us getting to work, or at least those of us who still have jobs in this nation.

Need I go on? I look forward to comments... :)

Finally an admission of wrong that has lasted for 80 years.

http://www.npr.org/2011/06/02/136880386/report-the-drug-war-has-failed
How many years have people in this country known this is an industry? Starting with Harry Anslinger - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJMeTR227h8 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXU0a9FdF4w&playnext=1&list=PL20AB76A8E8EACF4D , and Continuing through Nixon - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v48nbb8bJcw - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsrxpVUKUK0&feature=related , Reagan - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNwJpgdUUXY&feature=related, and the last few Presidents - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZB_wXJCBCU who have sat on their hands, while we have seen this war come and go with no good outcome for the American people in sight. All while we watched this possible tax windfall turn into a tax sinkhole by way of supporting the overburdened judicial system with cases against casual users and the incarcerations that followed.
First, all of the above people were buffoons, and only continued this "War" because of the addition to the military industrial complex it created. In other words, there was money to be made and given. Beside, who cares in this country if the victim of you failed laws are poor people? Do we owe them anything? Can we say we even owe them fair laws as set forth in the Constitution of the United States? The vast and overwhelming majority of people locked in our prison system for drug crimes are poor and or of racial minority. The United States is the biggest waster of Tax payer funds, Military and police forces, and intelligence time and effort in this failed war. Why? Because it has created a whole industry on both sides of the issue. There is an industry for finding, prosecuting, and locking up individuals who have done nothing more than purchase a small amount of a drug for personal use. Then, there is also the industry created by allowing a "Black Market" to control supply of drugs to a nation or area. Money to be made on both sides of the issue, and as we the people of this great nation have seen, it is nearly impossible to get any politician or person in our nation to give up one red cent unless he knows another or 10 are going to replace it in the near future.

Let's visit a few of the arguments:
1) If decriminalized, drugs would become out of control. Well, roughly the same percentage of people who used alcohol pre-prohibition still use alcohol today even though it has been legal for many years. In other words, those who want to do the drugs, are going to do the drugs and already are regardless of policy or policing.
2) It would increase medical problems. Well, that can be argued as well. Marijuana is only number 2 in study and comparison to tobacco in this nation. None of the studies have reported any increase in death, medical issues, or troubles of any sort accept for the most abusive user. Those numbers fail in comparison to the amount of money and family issues the abuse of alcohol in this nation have brought on the general public.
3) Again, most States are ahead of the Federal Government and see lifting the outright ban on substances, especially Marijuana can be useful for law enforcement as well as profitable for the State by way of taxes and other revenue paid for the growth, sale, distribution of licenses, paraphernalia and equipment to run operations.

Folks, the country will not fall apart. Most of you closet smokers should step out of the shadows and join the fight. This one could make for a lesser police state than we promote now, more tax revenue for public use, and an overall sense of freedom that may come back to these United States. I look forward to comments.

Wake Up

Our newest idiot of the day folks. http://news.yahoo.com/s/dailybeast/20110610/ts_dailybeast/14627_newtgingrichin2012howhispresidentialcampaignimploded_1

This man has lied, cheated on and left sick wives - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKJtzFq6OQo -, lied some more, and expects to campaign now using his wife as a Barometer of current political needs. He also allows the wife to demand who, what, how, and where he campaigns by whether or not she is allowed to show her lovely wacko based movies about America. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9x0iMWlCLXg - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQsCW1hbOGw.

As much as I like to rant... I think all there is left to say after watching the video evidence is "PLEASE"...

Why I am happy with the Dallas Mavericks

The Mavs have played a great series whether they win 1 more game or not. You may ask why, and I will tell you. It has much more to do with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHL7Poja5nw&feature=related - than just about anything else.

I grew up in a time that no matter how good of friends 2 men may have been, all that was left at the sideline when you entered the field of battle. Jordan dd not want to play on Isaiah's team, Bird did not want to play with Dr. J or Magic Johnson. They wanted to stay put, and leave their legacy on the team they were with. It is great to see a 1 star team, who has been with the same team forever, is currently hurt, and stuck it out through good and bad, keep up with the "look at me "3. You go Dirk. I don't care if times have changed or not. This is exactly what shows the pussification of our great nation. Hey folks, here is a great old quote for you and I forget who said it:

You got to beat the man to be the man...

Cat Scratch Fever

Today's posts might be short, they might be long, it really depends on how much I feel like ranting once we begin... First comment... and I have to laugh...lol

WTF?
http://dailycaller.com/2011/06/07/bachmann-vs-palin-feud-hits-twitter/

Are Republicans so desperate they have to continue to dig up people like this? I understand wanting to get women into politics on your side because you see them becoming very important players in the other party and have been for sometime.
So, First to counteract Ms. Clinton, you go to the Yukon Mining Camps and dig up a former "beauty contestant" (yes, quotes because you can see more beautiful women in the City Of Cincinnati and it's out lying areas any day of the week than this chick) Sarah Palin.
Yikes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSP5OoxYMVI - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKUz9KP8I0Q&feature=related - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_H1hKaHDSvg&NR=1&feature=fvwp- the list of her own words that should be burying her with the American people is becoming endless... However we continue to watch and wait.

Then we throw this newcomer to the scene, and if you didn't see the Cat Fight over and between "prettiest crazy girl" was coming you are lost. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Llz6Sztg1fc - SAY WHAT? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WH4p1RUfF9A&feature=related - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cONUyEsTos&feature=related Are these really the issues of the day?Wow, a nice short blog, it was nice to be able to let these loons speak for themselves. Bring back the Chistie Todd Whitman type. Oh wait, Bush ran her off completely. Does anyone miss a strong woman in politics? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMl0f8Lx_w4 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzDPPNCsjk8 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oK3eP9rh4So&NR=1

What has happened ladies. Get your fellow women together and get them to educate themselves and take control of your political visions and future. Look at big picture issues and not the silly "divide and conquer" issues handed you by a party.

Thank you...

What Now?

Another day has come and passed. This is the new Messiah for the Republican Party - http://kaystreet.wordpress.com/2011/05/23/herman-cain-not-ready-for-primetime-backtracks-botched-answer-on-right-of-return/ - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBM6Gvy_q0I&feature=player_embedded -
So, this is the new Big Dog everyone wants on the Republican side. Another WTF moment. Again I question the relativity to the American cause to back BLINDLY the cause of Israel. We have outfitted them with the best Arms in the region. We continue to support them as they bomb and kill innocent people on the West Bank. Does the Zombie army of God really mean that much to Republican Christians? This guy is lost and has nothing to offer. In typical Republican style, he rants, comes off as angry, and out of touch with the real politics of the day. I guess his "performance" leads me to a few questions again. Are Republicans really only backing this guy because they want to prove they like Black people too? I think this is why Steele got the GOP job. He obviously knew nothing about politics or how to control himself or the party.
1) Much like Palin, he has no clue who or what he is talking about. He parrots Conservative talking points, but is not able to say why. Is this the intelligence Republicans want for their party?
2) Has anyone heard of how the Tea Party / Republicans always talk about how you don't need to be smart, and it is smart "Lawyer Types" who are ruining the country?

I think a list  of Founding Fathers and their professions needs to be made for Republicans to look at so they may be reminded that just like the Tea Party, they are out of touch with exactly what started and ran this country so well for almost 200 years.

(A) George Washington: Farmer, and Military Officer who famously would not kneel down to take communion from an "Ordained man of God" because he would not be or show himself as servant to any man.

(B) John Adams: Constitutional LAWYER, who represented the Enlightenment. Defended the British Soldiers accused of the Boston Massacre. Tantamount to defending Osama Bin Laden today in court.

(C) Thomas Jefferson: Louisiana Purchase, Principle writer of one of the most liberal documents in history, The Declaration of Independence, and was a critical LAWYER in Virginia who argued Constitutional Law as well as separating Church and State, read Danbury letters where he states the need and intention for the separation of the church and the state (American Baptists The Danbury Baptist Association of Danbury Connecticut sent a letter, dated October 7, 1801, to the newly elected President Thomas Jefferson, expressing concern over the lack in their state constitution of explicit protection of religious liberty, and against a government establishment of religion.
In their letter to the President, the Danbury Baptists affirmed that "Our Sentiments are uniformly on the side of Religious Liberty — That Religion is at all times and places a matter between God and individuals — That no man ought to suffer in name, person, or effects on account of his religious Opinions — That the legitimate Power of civil government extends no further than to punish the man who works ill to his neighbor..."
As a religious minority in Connecticut, the Danbury Baptists were concerned that a religious majority might "reproach their chief Magistrate... because he will not, dare not assume the prerogatives of Jehovah and make Laws to govern the Kingdom of Christ," thus establishing a state religion at the cost of the liberties of religious minorities. Thomas Jefferson's response, dated January 1, 1802, concurs with the Danbury Baptists' views on religious liberty, and the accompanying separation of civil government from concerns of religious doctrine and practice. Jefferson writes: "...I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between Church & State."  This doctrine, known as the "wall of separation" or "strict separationism," would later become highly influential in 20th century Supreme Court understandings of the Relationship between Church and State. As a result, the relevance of this letter is a subject of heated debate, with scholars such as Robert Boston emphasizing its importance, and others such as Mark David Hall arguing that the letter was a historical outlier.

(D) James Madison Jr: Widely regarded as the Father of the Constitution and Author of the Bill of Rights. Studied law heavily in the name of public interest.

(E) James Monroe: Last of the Founding Fathers. Missouri Territory, LAWYER who studied under Jefferson.

When this great nation of ours was doing well. People wanted the brightest and the best to run things, and to tell everyone else how those things should be done. In those times less people went to actual church than do now by percentages. However we were a firmly Religious Society. These SMART men saw fit to write a Constitution and become lawyers to aide in the building of our great nation. Let's not forget John Q Adams, who defended the Amistad survivors, and was one of the Greatest Constitutional Lawyers this country has ever had.

How did we go from that to "Joe Six Pack" being the guy we need to listen too? A man who obviously got all his talking points from Fox News, and has no regard for education or separating church and state in this country.
WAKE UP. You want guys like the ranting loony tune listed above to be in power, but a lawyer who may actually understand and know how to protect your Civil Rights is just not good enough? Get real, and stop the partisan crap before China sneaks in and buys us all including your indentured servant children... Rant Complete.

Another Goofy Question

Do people who drive BMW's, Audi's, and Mercedes, forget that turn signals are standard equipment in all vehicles made post 1950? I really hate the fact I never have a clue where they might be going. Just a question.

Weiner WTF?

http://news.yahoo.com/video/us-15749625/25485161

So today we learned that another Congressman thought it was a great idea to send photos of himself to "females" he was chatting with on line, and instead of just admitting the truth up front, and getting it over with; he had to drag this ridiculous charade out for an entire week. Wasting all of our time with the tabloid news cycle and giving the media another reason not to report real news, but only the Sensational Splash news that should be on the rags in the Kroger checkout line and not National News. During that weeks time, he lied, he joked, he acted like no one cared. I have a few statements about this, and none of them pertain to the moral part of his "marriage" etc... no, I want to comment on stupidity, and how stupid we as people are to continue to elect from our current 2 parties that run EVERYTHING in our nation even though at every turn we are confronted with garbage like this. Does anyone think? I mean really think? Do we vote because of fear? Can we evolve to a time where the best candidate for a position gets the position, and it doesn't have to be based on a very few social issues that divide us as a nation or they don't need to be ultra rich? $50million on an election... C'mon, I would much rather see that money get donated to a school or good charity. This should also lead we the people to ask, what exactly is that seat worth now that people would spend that kind of money to get into it.

I have a few questions for everyone out there who can look themselves in the mirror and actually say they do their civic duty and vote in elections. I would really like anyone to consider these questions, and answer them as honestly as you possibly can.
1) How many millionaires do you know?
2) How many of those millionaires do you think have YOUR best interests in mind?
3) Do morals really matter in office, or should we judge a man the same way we do in the private sector by what he did for a company on the P&L page?
4) What happened to the times when a person went to serve his nation, or district, and didn't look to retire from Congress, but actually went to get something accomplished, and WENT HOME?
5) Since the big 3% additional taxes were not added to the rich, then where are all the jobs this "Trickle Down Economics" is supposed to give us immediately upon the rich man finding he has more money to "hire" all of us back to the payroll?

It is all BS folks.

We have become a nation of worried wimps. We worry that someone else's ideals of morals will overtake ours. We worry more about "Devils we don't know than Devils we do". We allow these people to sit in Congress and get rich by way of handouts, trips, corporate junkets, and LOBBYISTS, then retire on our dime in perpetuity. I am shocked as I hope all of you would be that we can't seem to stop electing the wayward FINANCIALLY RICH souls of our country into these positions of power over all of us. I am not even speaking to the morals of his family etc... I am speaking to this fact: if he has time to do this, WTF is he doing with the time he is supposed to be helping run our wonderful nation? Steroid probes for Baseball?

The list is endless for these scandal ridden fools. Mark Foley and his teenage gay fantasies, Larry Craig and his attempt to feel another man under the stall, Newt Gingrich who dumped a sick wife to find another and then dumped her for a younger model as well thinks he has the right to speak about traditional marriage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73Q4V8WNF6k&feature=player_embedded and who also thinks he has a right to speak to morality supporting "moral marriage",  and Tom Delay who thought it was OK to take money and redistrict areas for his parties gain http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/01/10/tom-delay-gets-years-prison-money-laundering/, the list is endless, and there are just as many offenders from the Democrat side as Republican. When do we the people get the big broom out... not concerned with party affiliation, but concerned with the needs of the GREATER GOOD of our country? The reason we have a generation called the Greatest Generation by some is simple. These are people who learned the word sacrifice. Most were raised during the Depression, when you were lucky to have a potato to boil for the whole family to eat for a week. Kids had to get jobs working Farms,Coal sorters, Digging ditches etc for a few cents a day to help a family put food on the table... not for a new XBox game, or to go to the movies on Friday night with a date, but actually had to pitch in and help make sure the rest of the family actually ate. Then, the next step for that generation was to sacrifice for the greater good again by supporting the war effort against the REAL AXIS OF EVIL!!! Not this contrived garbage we have been fed about Iraq, Korea, and Iran, but real powers who had military might and were using it to take over the world. World War 2 led to Ration Cards,Gas Stamps, and everyone gathering all nylon, rubber, tin, metals, foods, and the ultimate sacrifice, sending their children to die in a war that involved the whole world. These people were socialists. Admit it, they lived in a free nation, but adopted Socialist behaviors to make things better for the "GREATER GOOD" of the country as a whole. When was the last time any of you thought about that? When was the last time you asked Grandma or Grandpa how hard it was to raise kids in shack in Kentucky while a war was going on overseas and they had to work the coal mines 12 hours a day to get something to eat? We have become a sick nation of self centered babies. Do people understand we had a 90% tax rate under Eisenhower, who is the father of Modern Republicans? Hmm, and we had a sustainable middle class that could actually survive and do well on one job for a whole family. Now, it is OK to have wars we don't pay for, it is OK to demand tax cuts but to also spend billions sustaining attacks on nations that have nothing to do with harming us, and in fact we put in power. http://www.marxist.com/images/stories/saddam-rumsfeld.jpg We put these people in power, and then we as lazy fools sit back and watch as they ruin everything and don't hold their feet to the fire with checks and balances built into the system. We are a sad nation on the decline folks. We need a wholehearted change in our society. Not one centered on guns and ammo, or abortion, or God in school, or Gay marriage. We need to center it on what will make our country better again. Term limits, lobbyists out, and a shot for the average Joe to get time in the Congressional halls to actually do some good for the American people.

Thank you... I look forward to comments.

Why did Bush care? A short rant on Palin, Bush, McCain, and history

Osama Bin Laden was the focus of the "cut the head off" movement. George Bush talked about Bin Laden until he figured out it didn't take Osama to make illegal wars. So it actually was better for Bush that he couldn't/ wouldn't find Bin Laden. Then he would not have resorted to Iraq. Everything he said about Iraq being tied to Bin Laden and terrorism has been fully debunked, as well as the majority of his presidency. FOX News keeps thanking Bush for the Bin Laden kill... exactly what part of removing our personal freedoms by way of the patriot act was good for Americans? And how did it lead to Osama? He was an idiot that should never have been voted in. How many people voted on the fact they would rather have a beer with him? CRAZY!!! Those people's right to vote should be removed. Ignorance is one thing, but blind stupidity is another. Question: Why do we believe anything a Christian says is good for us? If they all believe we are all here for the Rapture, and all here to be play things of God, then they do not have the best interests of the country in mind at all. They are self serving, and could care less about the rest of us.
Saying Iraq was a part of an Axis of Evil is a laugher. That was 1942, and it was taken care of at that point in history. Maybe our current President doesn't want to be perceived as abusing the powers as our last meat head was by invoking more of the Patriot Act or the “new” Presidential powers. No voting for Obama is not and cannot be considered an ignorant vote, which is why I could never vote for Palin or McCain. She... is a power grabber who still can't discuss policy issues.
Sarah Palin is crazy; no Sarah, the VP doesn’t”run Congress”. McCain was barely cleared to fly the plane he eventually crashed, and is no Maverick. And contrary to popular belief; No, this country was not based on Christian values. The Founding Fathers came from a country that claimed the same, and found the tax system and the heads of state being tied to churches repugnant. The Christian thing can be argued all day. Let's say this, Thomas Jefferson wrote a Bible with all the magic taken out, and there is a reason Church and state is separated. I can cite many many quotes and books and talks by PHD's on the subject to help you if needed.

Today

Today is the first day of the rest of my life,
Sit behind the mic like Walter Cronkite...

Thanks X for that line.

It is time. I am going to rant, there will be cussing, and say pretty much everything that bothers me in today's world. I am ready to unleash history combined with knowledge of Politics and Religion and how they all wind into and mess up all of our lives in various ways. Let the beatings begin...
