Cat Scratch Fever

Today's posts might be short, they might be long, it really depends on how much I feel like ranting once we begin... First comment... and I have to laugh...lol

WTF?

Are Republicans so desperate they have to continue to dig up people like this? I understand wanting to get women into politics on your side because you see them becoming very important players in the other party and have been for sometime.
So, First to counteract Ms. Clinton, you go to the Yukon Mining Camps and dig up a former "beauty contestant" (yes, quotes because you can see more beautiful women in the City Of Cincinnati and it's out lying areas any day of the week than this chick) Sarah Palin.
Yikes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSP5OoxYMVI - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKUz9KP8I0Q&feature=related - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_H1hKaHDSvg&NR=1&feature=fvwp- the list of her own words that should be burying her with the American people is becoming endless... However we continue to watch and wait.

Then we throw this newcomer to the scene, and if you didn't see the Cat Fight over and between "prettiest crazy girl" was coming you are lost. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Llz6Sztg1fc - SAY WHAT? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WH4p1RUfF9A&feature=related - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cONUyEsTos&feature=related Are these really the issues of the day?Wow, a nice short blog, it was nice to be able to let these loons speak for themselves. Bring back the Chistie Todd Whitman type. Oh wait, Bush ran her off completely. Does anyone miss a strong woman in politics? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMl0f8Lx_w4 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzDPPNCsjk8 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oK3eP9rh4So&NR=1

What has happened ladies. Get your fellow women together and get them to educate themselves and take control of your political visions and future. Look at big picture issues and not the silly "divide and conquer" issues handed you by a party.

Thank you...

  1. Do I miss strong women in politics? Hell yes! Women do ourselves such as disservice by nit picking the superficial attributes of our female candidates, thus playing right into the stereotypes that men have saddled us with for years! Ladies we have more POWER to sway the vote than we realize. Why do we continue to cater to women we are "told" speak for us? Bull shit. Think for yourselves ladies.

  2. We have a long way to go before we will acknowledge a woman in politics. Strong women are seen as bitches. Honestly, I wanted Hillary. I think the repubs saw her as areal threat so they voted in demo primaries thinking Obama didn't have a chance. Boy, were they wrong. Michelle and Sarah, please. They make me want to vomit.

  3. atruesdell yes we do have a long way to go. I personally did not want Hillary. I could not shake the image that she would be leftover policy from the President BC years. I did not want more of the same for that any more than more of the same from President Bush. I felt the country needed to move in an entirely different direction.

I also watched Independent voters in the state of KY literally switch their denomination to Democrat so they could vote for Hillary rather than a black Muslim man. I refused to do such a thing preferring to let the cards fall as they may. As an Independent I will not be forced to vote along anyone's party lines. And as it all played out we got Obama/Biden. Had it been Hillary I would have given her my vote. But not because she was a woman but because of her years, experience and platform more closely aligned with mine, than McCain, and Palin.

My "female" vote is not for sale because I'm a woman. I deserve the respect that I can pick a viable candidate that will serve and represent our country proudly and wisely.

Just look at the last 3 videos posted. I mean really "listen" to them. You will see they show very astute, intelligent and wise political women in action. Just because they may not have been "pretty" did not mean they couldn't get the job done as public servants. We expect no less of men and should expect no less of women.

  4. I agree. I was behind the democratic platform not Hillary because she was a woman. I believe women are just as capable as men. I'm just saying that our country wants someone they can control even though they won't admit it. BTW, Obama is not a muslim but this country really doesn't care about the facts.

  5. Women are just as capable as men. I agree, this is why I posted the last 3 videos I posted. Examples of strong, smart women who I would follow because they based their thoughts in reality and had ideas of worth they were willing to stand behind and fight for, whether I agreed with all of their ideas or not. The problem now, the women who are "at the top" seem to be just as empty suits as the men on the other side seem to be.
