I don't even need to give links...lol Unless asked today. Just a short rant about our current political duel.
First, Republicans must be stupid. They are committing political suicide by holding the Presidents feet to the no fire of cutting spending. 70% of the US population (including 60% of Republicans) believes we need to have comprehensive reforms that include tax increases on the ultra rich and cut spending. Not only cut spending. I am enjoying watching Cantor and Boehner kill themselves politically to protect the ultra rich...
We also have Bachman who knows nothing about History at all. I am really glad she doesn't work for any publishing house in the editing room for our school books.
Are we going to get to watch this party implode? It would be neat to see the party Lincoln started go down the toilet to ideals he never envisioned.

I am not a Christian, but I will not call all of the ideals in the book stupid. I will agree some are worth the time. This would be one. Adam Smith who is considered the Father of modern economics said that unabashed Capitalism without Social Conscience is doomed to failure. We have lost our social conscience. Knowing what you come from, I can see how you would have a fearful view of taking anything. However, I am not in the business of promoting Communism. I don't want to live for the Bureau; I wasn’t us all to live to get our species ahead. Look at any animal on the planet, the successful ones like oh... Ants, live solely for the social form that is their colony. Dogs survive in packs; even Lions hang together and take care of the pride as a group. I am not saying to take from one to give to another. I am saying, this country affords opportunities others don't... I know you know this. So, if this nation gives you the opportunity to amass wealth in great piles, you owe that society back so someone who follows you has the same chances you did to amass that wealth in their future.
I don't need to see them implode. All we need is a split in the Republican vote. And these jokers are doing a fine job of lining up for it. No one wins without the moderates. So keep spewing your extremist and divisive rhetoric Ms. Bachmann. Every time you open your mouth you make the Democratic fight that much easier.
