She is sick. She has been a leader in the female reporting realm for decades. She is brilliant, she is quick, and I hope she gets well soon.
Now, I will not be a creep here and talk about how more men die every year of prostate cancer by a long shot then women do of breast cancer, and how we don't have blue month in ever sport or product on the market. So the old adage of "If it caused a man's penis to fall off there would be an instant cure" doesn't wash. I have a friend who is in the process of fighting it now. It is not pretty for a man either.

I'm sorry to see another person who is battling this disease. I know what you are saying as delicately as possible. I think it's marketing campaigns that have the money and resources to pour into awareness. Squeaky wheel gets the grease and and research dollars. Think Aids. But there are many groups against the use of the Pink Ribbon campaign too.
